About The Book

Two Worlds, One Family relays a message through the voice of an eight-year-old girl named Jory, who talks about her family and the people around her.  Like many children her age, Jory notices skin color, but with pure innocence, without labels or judgment. The story uses short sentences and simple ideas to show how children see differences in a very honest, non-judgmental way. It gently reminds readers that love, family, friendship, and kindness matter more than the color of anyone’s skin or how anyone looks.

Quotes From the Book:

“We are all part of one big melting pot.”

“People are people no matter what color you are.”

“The world is full of all kinds of people.”
